“I believe that home should contain not just functional objects but also objects that are sentimental to our souls as well. I make these wall tiles to be just that.
Growing up in a Thai-Chinese household, I always connected to these zodiac signs more than the ones from Western culture. The three pieces in the first picture represent my home very beautifully, my grandma- snake, my parents-the ox and me - the dog. I like the idea of having things that remind me of my loved ones around, it gives a sense of togetherness to me.
I also hope to bring the touch of human made objects to your living space. With adhesive hooks, which I aim to make them suitable for people in rental homes, I hope you could carry them with you wherever you move to, and perhaps once you feel settled enough, perhaps, they could be embedded permanently into your wall - that’s what I hope to do one day too”
