Pearl Sconce

This piece explores the idea of revelation and secrecy by incorporating elements from jewelry design, such as prongs and a gemstone-like porcelain light globe.


The form of this piece has contrast between the inner and outer shell. Whether the light is on or off, the surfaces interact with light in completely different ways, creating a dynamic relationship between light and shadow. Also, curve lines that connect between prongs suggest a form resisting openness, as if striving to protect the light or darkness within.
