✹ Practice #3
12 nd November 2020

In this week , We are assigned to make another 6 object that embody our project. 2 of them must be the success technique from the last week. one of them opposite with these two - can be opposite in any means. and another 3 can be something new.

In this set of practice, I mostly use pinkish gilded leaves to decorate the surface to explore the appearance that interact with new material which is lenticular plastic sheet. From my observation , lenticular plastic sheet gives illusion effect once I move it over particular texture. With this quality - I then use it to create small sculpture that give a sense of blurry effect as in reference below.

For the ‘opposite’ choice I made - I use metalic paper to create 3d sculpture and assemble it with fancy lenticular plastic sheet.

For this week, to be honest - I feel stuck with my subject. Because I only use one or two same material over past two weeks and it made me bored. What I found so far from this week practice is that each piece of sample I made would look more interesting if I film move them, tilted them to see the effect. In picture ,still picture, I could not see that much effect.

So from there I think the movement is important to represent shiny surface.
That’s ,I suppose, can be explored, developed and used as a core in this MA project.
