About︎

As a visual artist, Jaajr delves into the intricate connections between the self, time, and the continuous change of the universe. Through a practice-based approach that revolves around the exploration of materials and the art of making, she seeks to unravel the mysteries of existence and translate them into works that challenge the boundaries of traditional art forms.

By immersing themselves in the creative process, Jaajr's art seeks to bridge the gap between the tangible and the intangible, inviting viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of all things and the fluid nature of the universe.

Last winter Annabel, one of my classmates, told me she’s going to be on a TV show. I’m really excited as this is a design competition series and it will be on SKY Art. Annabel is now doing another MA at Royal College of Art in Design Product. She was exploring waste material and soothing objects that can help with mental health issue during her MA here in Camberwell, and from what I’ve known from her she keep exploring the same topic. Such a good time for her to keep practicing her topic in different level in a new environment.

Annabel went to this TV show called ‘Big Design Challenge’ over 5 weeks and in each week she had gotten a brief to go along the series. In final round, the brief was to make a work inspired from music by electronic dance duo Orbital. Annabel used left over material from previous weeks and created this playful kinetic sculpture. And she won the competition, now her final work is exhibited at V&A museum!

I am so excited. I went there with Vittoria to see the work. The best part of her work that I love is the mirror ball, when it spins around it’s kind of giving the sense of dance and electro music from the theme. She got to planned put everything for her own solo show, I think this is such an amazing opportunity and a wonderful start as a designer! Exhibit her work among other greatest artist, what a dream!
