About︎

As a visual artist, Jaajr delves into the intricate connections between the self, time, and the continuous change of the universe. Through a practice-based approach that revolves around the exploration of materials and the art of making, she seeks to unravel the mysteries of existence and translate them into works that challenge the boundaries of traditional art forms.

By immersing themselves in the creative process, Jaajr's art seeks to bridge the gap between the tangible and the intangible, inviting viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of all things and the fluid nature of the universe.

✹ I got a job!
17th February 2022

3D scaner workshop at Chelsea collage of arts

After months of the unknown, the challenge of the new fish in the sea, the begining of the real life, I finally got a job. This job came to me so unexpectedly I never though of working in University but as the opportunity comes I’m so honored to be part of the team!

My first day went really well, because I studied in Camberwell collage of arts during my master so that I didn’t feel nervous at all everyone in the team seem so supportive and kind. The atmosphere in educational institute is also welcoming. I love that most of the time people just so supportive here and encourage you to learn from the mistake instead of blaming you when you made one.

This role, I will be working with 6 courses across 2 campuses - Camberwell collage of Arts and Chelsea collage of Art&Design. The 6 courses are in Material and spatial design practices which consist of BA Interior and Spatial design Camberwell, MA Interior and Spatial design, Gradip Interior and Spatial design, MA Designer Maker, BA Product and furniture design, BA Interior Design Chelsea. In my department I will be helping with technical support including 3D and 2D computer programs, practical support, tools and studio support. Which will be great opportunities for me to learn how to use tools and program that help with my practice as I’m shifting my practice from fashion design to product and furniture. And these skill set are essential, also another great thing about this job is that I will get to surround myself with creative, passionate people - both the student and the tutors.

Alternative programm used in 3D modeling

Also, because last year the restrictions has limited the access to the facitily, I can not use them as much, as a staff I’ll get to use them outside of the working hour so that I can make up for those days when I can’t do it. I think this is the perfect job for me to start with, I hope I can learn and grow from this role and contribute my skills to the students as much as I can.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity and would like to thank every one that helped me during the recruiting process, can’t wait to see what comes next!
