In this week, I expand the fan design by trying different motifs using the same principle  to create new patterns that give moving reflection.

At first, I came up with a simple shape like a circle and square. From last week, I made a circle pattern using paper, I found it's really confusing when assembled. Circle overlaps disorderedly. So I changed the overlay to a different manner as follow.

With this new overlay - it looks neater and when reflecting with the light , this pattern gives the tiny little sparkling motif on the wall. I love this effect so much, later on, I create more pattern hoping it can give different motif when reflecting the light.

With square pattern - it doesn't turn out that well. because the holes are to close to the edge and squares are too small. When assembled together - there is some space in between each bit and that can't be working, It decreases the air circulation ability of the fan.

I think the square one, even I move the holes inwards yet I feel like there is not many way to creat pattern out of it. However, I use the most simple way to assemble it together and later develop it into another prototypes of fan at the end of this week.

Later, I create many other motifs hoping to play with the idea of the reflected light pattern on the wall I found earlier... So far my most favourite motifs are the circle, the heart and the spiky one.
